Nice day

 Today was a splendid day spent at Deep Lake, where I had the pleasure of savoring lunch amidst the serene beauty of nature. The sun painted the landscape with its golden hues, making it an idyllic setting to relish a peaceful meal outdoors. There's something truly magical about dining in the heart of nature, with the gentle breeze and the sound of the lake as my companions.After lunch, I returned home and embarked on a productive mission in the garden

. With winter on the horizon, it was the perfect time to prepare for the colder months. I focused my attention on the raspberry patch, diligently cleaning and tying up the canes to ensure their resilience during the upcoming winter. It felt satisfying to know that these efforts would yield a bountiful harvest in the seasons to come.Next on the agenda was taming the unruly grass in the yard. Armed with a lawnmower Mike mowed the lawn, I couldn't help but appreciate the simple joy of maintaining a well-kept outdoor space, a sanctuary for relaxation and enjoyment.Today was a testament to the importance of seizing the opportunity to bask in good weather and make the most of it. With the raspberries tidied, the lawn mowed, and the satisfaction of a day well spent, I find myself content and grateful for the simple pleasures of life at home.

Down at the ocean came in yesterday relaxing today. 

North Head Lighthouse is an active aid to navigation overlooking the Pacific Ocean from North Head, a rocky promontory located approximately two miles north of Cape Disappointment and the mouth of the Columbia River, near Ilwaco, Pacific County, in the U.S. state of Washington. Wikipedia

Oysterville, named after the rich oyster beds of adjacent Willapa Bay, is picturesque and very different from the bustling beach towns of the Long Beach Peninsula. Take a walking tour, attend summer vespers in the little church, or relax with a view of Willapa Bay.

 IIlwaco’s boat basin is a major home port for commercial fishermen and charter boats.
